Hopefully you get it in todays mail!! It's a hard wait I know from personal experience. My mail lady still gives me static when she comes. Evidently I wasn't the only one greeting her at the door waiting for a letter from the DOJ!!!

he returned my call, but gave me the same info the attorney generals office gave.. that they weren't able to give out any information and that they were just behind.

People who mailed on dec 1 were actually put in front of some people who mailed in Nov, as the deadline for people applying in December was only 22 days.

My father sent his in on the December 16th and he is still waiting. In my opinion it is a good thing that the DOJ was flooded and cannot keep up with applications, it show how many people wanted this law to be passed!

Congrats on your CCL. You are right WALKER rocks. We would not have CC in WI without him IMHO.

Let's see how long it takes them for the my address correction check. I am guessing I will get a permit in the 60,000 range. I agree that they are getting them out the door! Saw alot of new permits this week from another thread.
I think most of the Nov apps will get finished up next few days then they should all be in the 21 day range!
I know a guy got his Dec 19 27,000 range Mailed his on 11-5

While I do think that the DOJ is doing everything they can to keep up, it is annoying to see above where 2 applications mailed a month apart resulted in applications delivered on the same day. Having heard the first come, first served thing mentioned back when this all started, I'm torn between congratulating them for sticking to the law and starting the December apps on time to meet the 21 day deadline and complaining about the lack of first come first serve that means i'm still waiting because they fell behind on November to keep on time for December. I knew this would happen when I read the turnaround time info the day after I mailed my app. It was instantly clear to me that I should have waited the extra week to mail. Then again, had I mailed it 3 weeks earlier and I would have it by now. But, having moved here from VT 12 years ago, what's another week or 3 added to the wait.

    Mailed 11/25
    Cashed 12/7
    Waiting 1/13

And please honor the rules so this topic survives. The information and camaraderie on this site have made this wait tolerable and I'm sure it has reduced the workload at the DOJ by keeping people aware of developments as the happen so we aren't all phoning.
    Thanx again everyone.

Yes it is rather unprofessional of the DOJ to place applications in front of others who have been waiting patiently. The only reason I see for this is to keep there ringer out of the fire with the state Representatives. Nothing more soothing than to have a State Agency throw you under the bus to save there own hide! That's how I see it. Perhaps I'm wrong and if so please correct me. Sorta null and voids page #1 of the application, "Applications will be processed in order of receipt".

I am sorry your still waiting I could have sent my app right away but I figured the DOJ would be like any other gov. entity and not be perpared. I choose to do my waiting without sending it and give them time to get their act together. If it makes you feel any better I have been waiting here in Wisconsin for over 40 years for my permit. :) I hope you get yours very soon looks like they are doing a couple thousand a week now so it should shorten the wait time.
