Well I want to start out by saying that I feel horrible for all of those who have had bad experiences trying to get their permits and congratulations to all of you that have recieved them. I spent hours reading this thread once filled out my paperwork and have to admit that I was sure I would be one of those horror storries (that is just how my luck usually goes). I sent in the required paperwork with a copy of my hunters education card and a money order for the $50. Sent it snail mail by sticking it in the corner mailbox at around 8:00PM on Thurs. Feb 9th so it wasn't picked up till Fri. the 10th. I called the Western Union money order tracking system on Monday Feb 13th just to see if by some act of God they cashed it and pure inpatience feeling helpless to do anything but wait and as expected it had not been cashed. At this point I was expecting to wait till the end of the month and feel lucky to have it by then. I was sitting having a cup of coffee when I heard the mailman today and went to check it soon after expecting the usual stack of advertisements, bills, and other useless crap. My heart fell when I saw a envelope from the DOJ thinking it had to be a denial letter sent out this fast and ran back to the house to open it. IT WAS HERE!!! The real thing, my permit!!! I am still shocked, the issue date was Feb. 14th and today is the 16th and it is proudly in my wallet. I really hope that this was no fluke miracal and the DOJ will be turnning applications this fast from now on. As soon as I finish this post I am packing up my baby girl and woman and heading to Wally world with my Springfield XD45 strapped on for my right of passage walk....I am pumped to finally excericise my 2nd ammendment right and feel a sence of security knowing that my family as well as myself can be defended from all of the mxed up people in this crazy world we live in. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
