Well, NOTHING AGAIN!

They cashed my check 24 days ago.

I now know what happened to my application. With all the cutbacks due to the economy, Large Marge was in need of toilet paper real bad and did the only thing she could think of with my application.

Just joking, that's the only thing I can do at this point. I know those people have their hands full. I guess the only thing I can look forward to is the 45 day period is now approaching. TIC TOC, TIC TOC. You hear that Marge?

I have got my permit on 11/14 already, but what I can read from the other postings DOJ is moving quiet fast. It looks the permits are issued in less than 3 weeks on average. I think it is fast compared with others states. Be patient and it will come to you. I tell you it will feel great in your hands. We waited years for this. One extra week? it is nothing. I was prepared to wait 2 months or 3, when I dropped off my application on 11/01 at my local post office.

Update #3 , Mailed on Nov.2nd , checked cashed Nov.12th. Denial letter recieved on Nov.17th,due to adress on DL. not matching mailing adress. Letter said to change my my adress with DMV.and resumit app. with proof of training along with copy of denial letter so i wont be charged another $50. So waited till after the holidays to mail it again on Nov. 28th. After reading some of these post i wasnt sure if i mailed it to the right address,( i mailed it to the original address.) The letter didnt specify witch one . I called the DOJ today , spoke to a very nice lady who said that was the right address. Also told me because that was the only reason for denial, my app. will only take two more weeks . It was refreshing to talk to a human , plus she was very nice and helpful. Will keep you posted as to the results!!!!!

Has anybody tried to contact a Law enforcement official to see if they can verify if you have a permit?

You wont find anyone to do that. They have penalties for checking without a valid reason.

Nothing yet. Mailed 11/2/11. Check endorsed on the 16th and posted to my bank account on the 17th. STILL NOTHING. The mailman may be thinking I am stalking him.

Ditto, mailed mine on the 4th, check posted the 17th Still Nothing. Just very strange looks from my mail lady.

I submitted my info on the 7th of Nov. and my check was cashed the 21st (late I know).

Would it be a fair assumption that it could be received next week?

Currently applications are between 16,xxx and 17,xxx.

Approximately completing 500 apps per day 7 days a week.

and there was about 20,000 apps received in the first week and my app should at the beginning of week 2.

I just got a call from my post office today saying a mailing from the DOJ is in my box!!! I'm sure it's my permit!!! sounds like they are pushing out the ones from the First,, most of my students have been getting them this week also...Good news!!

Well, Kathy63, it looks like you and I may be the last ones waiting that mailed in on the first of Nov. Seems that everyone else that has posted a NOV 1st mailing has now received their permits. Is today the day for you and me? Hopefully.
