I called yesterday and was told that group of applications are burried!!
I thought maybe some of the guys waiting since the first would find that interesting.
Well i'm going out on a limb with this next statement, I believe that was the closest unoffical admission from the DOJ that they were completely unprepaired, understaffed. "Had" the DOJ placed the shopping carts of applications in some sort of order instead of one big mountain than this back log may and could have been prevented.. When the person with whom you spoke with stated buried that confirmed pretty much what we all have known but the DOJ failed to admit. It now looks as if there will be those of us that will infact exceed 45 days.
but NOOO :aargh4:  why. I really wish they would go back throe and check the dates and fix it, or at least stop ignoring the old ones and just sending off the top of the pile. I do feel bad for the fact that they are over burden and such due to the high volume but now they are just doing this to themselves.not to mention that they shouldn't jerk us around this is really upsetting because they sure did a good job making sure they got there money and allocating it to other shhh...
Anyone have the correct phone # to contact the DOJ on this "lost in the pile" issue? If so please post here. Thanks from still waiting & waiting....
From another forum for your info
Forms Mailed: 11/2/2011

permit number 205**
I ran into a friend today I havent heard from in a while and let me tell you I was a little jealous when he lifted his coat to display an HK straped to his waist. like me he sent his ap on nov3 and like me his check was cashed on nov17 he received his permit 19xxx 3 days ago so maybe maybe MAYBE! I will get mine soon.
Mine finally came in on Thursday. I was actually surprised to see it in the mailbox. Nov 1st mailer. Issued Dec 5 in the mid 18,000's.
I notice newly arriving permits numberd from 19xx up to 20xx and back down to 18xx there is no order in numbers. That leads me to believe the hold up is how and when they are mailed and not when issued.
I am calling this # TODAY!
