I know, that's what I mean. You have already waited longer than 21 days. How on earth will they get this months done in 21?

Aha! I did not take into account mail time! I SENT it on the first. How do you know when they received it? Did you send certified mail?

The lady at DOJ said they probably received the 7th or 8th. I just gave them the benefit of doubt since I mailed on Friday the 4th so I assume they had to receive by the 8th.
Since most have taken 3 days to receive permit after issued I thought the 8th would be enough time for the DOJ to receive it.

Should not as the application is no different than handgun back ground check.
If I am wrong please explain to me what is different.
But I can report that the back ground checks for handguns has slowed as well. This according to my friend at the gun shop. What used to be instant now takes almost the entire 48 hours.
Overwhelmed, understaffed poor planning.
Where did you hear that? I was standing in Farm and fleet Yesterday old man was buying a new ruger LCP it look less than 5 minutes took him longer to fill out the form.

What RamJet was implying is that the BGC is taking on average 48hrs your application has to wait until a worker gets to it in order of reciept. Than sent to the mailroom where someone else licks the stamp.

Think your right, dont know how long mail takes to get where your at. I found wraping duck tape around the head greatly reduces the chances of your head exploding.

From the Oshkosh Northwestern today:
"The Wisconsin Department of Justice has received 57,461 concealed carry permit applications since the law went into effect Nov. 1, and had issued 25,995 permits as of Wednesday."

so as of 45 days their not yet half way thru the pile. hmmmmmmm
I carry to protect myself and my loved ones from the BG's. Not to solve societies problems. That said: if more carried the deterrent would only have a positive overall effect on those problems.
