I think you can carry an expandable baton, the law states "billy club" is allowed (concealed)

By the way I mailed around nov 8th
    ...................check cashed nov 16th
No permit as of today Dec. 15th.
I called my State Representative, they said to keep waiting

Great Site, Just joined! Hello Fellow Wisconsinites! I've lived in Milwaukee, then Hancock/Plainfield area in Waushare Co. for a while, Stevens Point and Wautoma, Then back to Milwaukee area, I now reside in West Allis, along side of my beautiful arsenal of weaponry. Nice to read all the posts and know others are waiting like me. Good Luck everyone!

I carry to protect myself and my loved ones from the BG's. Not to solve societies problems. That said: if more carried the deterrent would only have a positive overall effect on those problems.

Easy answer to this entire thread is found in the form of a question: "How do you grow a buracracy by being overstaffed, prepared, efficient, enthusiastic, and ambitious?" answer: you don't. There is nothing to be gained. The way you grow your department, your budget, your personnel, your power, your importance, and your press is to be "understaffed, illprepared, inefficient, non-enthisiastic, and dare I say, lazy. It's just my opinion, but my feeling is that the DOJ is still eating some sour grapes because Pam Galloway and the sponsors of SB69/Act 35 did not seek the advice, councel, or blessing of DOJ.... and the "get even" that all buracracies play against the tax paying public is nothing more than a work slow down.

Kathie, you have been in this chat room for as long as I have if not longer. I'm hoping you get your permit tomorrow. We know what has taken place even though we cant substantiate or validate or for that matter use the queens verbiage as some would like.

I hope to get my permit soon but most likely not tomorrow, or otherwise I will get the correction letter, if I get that I will correct it and hand deliver that to Madison. Then it will probably be another several weeks.

How can you possibly be confused?
Rather easily. A billy club and a baton are similar in nature. I can undertand how some might be confused. If you can carry and knife or billy club or a stun gun, why not a baton!

I understand re the the long wait just to be able to carry concealed, i'm just doing a little venting. I believe that i have a right to. I know that i can open-carry, done it before under certain circumstances, but i don't like to draw that kind of attention to myself. i travel to a lot of high crime areas here in milw,wi (job related) & sometimes, you just need to have that added sense of security. because no one else can provide it for you, but you.

Plus, you would think that apps are processed according to date arriving to DOJ? Just trying to add some humor to this mess!

You would think they would stamp the apps when they come in so they know what day they were received either by date or numerical order...oh wait that's too easy
