Can you do it? The Regulations state you need your pistol to be in a hard sided case, locked, yada yada. Does anyone use the glock factory case and slap a lock on it? Or do I really need to buy a separate one? If so, give me a suggestion to use. Thanks
My glock cases (newer gen 3's) don't have a hole for the locks to go through. I've flown with Sig factory cases, which have two holes for the locks on the handle.
Maybe you could drill out some holes for the little locks in the Glock? It has to be locked.
So, in summary, I would not do it with my Glock cases. But I've done it with the Sig that are better designed for that.

The TSA does not define "Hard".
So, yes as long as it lockable, and that can be a padlock around the split handles.
Any specific model Pelican case you would suggest for flying with 1 handgun and a few magazines, please?
As small as will work. Keep in mind it goes IN your suitcase.
I prefer Storm for the latches even though they are now owned by Pelican.
In Storm the 2050, in Pelican, the 1200......about $40 with foam
9.5" x 7.12" x 4.2" deep inside.
Check E-Bay and go a Google search.
