Security Awareness Reminder for the 2011
Holiday Season!!
It’s early Black Friday morning and we’ve already had two incidents: A Bomb found at Wal-Mart in AZ and a shooting incident at a Mall in SC.
So tell your family and friends to watch out for their surroundings especially in crowed places.
Stay safe,

They say that not much good happens in a bar after 10 P.M., but I'll have to add in 'shopping on Black Friday'.
Camping out to get an early place in line, fighting over games, pushing and shoving over price-dropped items...personally, you'd never catch me out on that kind of a shopping environment.
If you would like to increase your chances of trouble, just go to late night bars, use ATM's at night, walk in bad 'hoods', go to drinking parties, or shop on Black Friday.OMOYMV

If you think Black Friday is all fun and games every year, have at it. If something happens to you during your jousting with a mob of people its your own darn fault. From what I have seen of this exercise in mob mentality, it is just not worth my well being to be injured or worse over a lousy tv set.

Regardless of security threats, I avoid shopping and crowds. I don't enter any stores (except a grocery store) between November 23 and January 3.

I was listening to the scanner last night about 9:15; three fights at a nearby WalMart. One was in toys, one in electronics and one in the produce section. I'm really wondering about the last one...

Walmart had a pepper spray incident, also.
Stay safe out there.

I ventured to Wal-Mart last night for a 10 pm sale on games. My first Black Friday adventure. My BIL and his wife wanted to go so, hell why not. They were handing out maps when you walk in and yup games and movies are in the produce section along with other stuff where you would not expect to find it. It got pretty crazy and I was nowhere near the display of games when all hell broke loose, but I stayed calm, wiggled my way through the crowd without pushing and shoving and in 10minutes I had the 2 games I was looking for, I could've had more good games but I was limiting myself.

ok the first thing they teach is SA, and staying out of/avoiding situations, black friday totally seems the opposite. personally, why do i want to get up at four am, go stand in lines longer than lines for rides at a theme park, and have to fight for the objects we want to buy? personally, i like waking up at 10am, grabbing a cup of coffee, still in my pajama's. hopping on the computer and buying the same things everyone else is buying "on sale" for cheaper online? personally i like my thought of black friday better.... just saying

Ah, John Farnam's 3 don't be stupid rules:
1. Don't do stupid things.
2. Don't go stupid places.
3. Don't hang with stupid people.
I say that covers shopping on Black Friday...
