    I guess that cancels my trip to Chicago next spring. If I can't protect my family I don't think I will be visiting. Especially when you are driving from NC.

    That'd be the smart thing to do. Don't give those crooks any of your money if you can avoid it.

    Sorry everyone I always get those 3 states (Michigan, Minnesota, and Wiscosin) confused.

    We have been able to carry open or concealed for a very long time. 2003 we became a "shall" state. I hope WI kicks out the politicians that stopped the carry bill this year. This way I don't have to disarm in your state.

    TJ, go for the Utah non-resident permit. It gives the most coverage for the small fee. If you need to carry in states that don't recognize the NR UT permit, you may have to get a non-res permit from them, if they offer. Check each state's laws, but wherever possible, carry blade, light, oc, etc.
