If it is not in the US Constitution then the Federal Government should not be doing it.

I don't think there's really a law against cigarette companies advertising on TV. I think it's like how condom ads were viewed, the networks just wouldn't run them. Probably the same reason with guns.

    Cheers.

Some things Timmy are just not ''PC'' - and guns I am sure are certainly in that category.

The ''powers that be'' who decide what ad's will air - are possibly pretty much anti's anyways I'll bet - plus knowing the viewer ''sheeple'' ratio, there'd probably be a major storm if gun ad's appeared.

Must say tho the Outdoor Channel maybe could get away with it.

Shooting people just isn't "in" at the moment.

There is no law banning advertising because the Outdoor Channel does a good chunk of the time.

Actually, cigarette ads are in fact illegal on tv. The Feds officially banned cigarette ads from television on January 1, 1971.

Why doesn't Kimber run an ad during the Superbowl?
Do you know how much it costs for a 30 second commercial during the Super Bowl?

My mistake I haven't handled either the Sig or the H&K much more than at the store
