    A pleasent suprise

On the third of this month I mailed my Louisiana permit renewel in. I figured I would see it around the first of the year or a little later. Well, my new permit showed up today in the mail. It took right at 14 days to get renewed and thats counting mail time. I was very suprised.

Good deal! Seems more states are beginning to offer more streamlined renewal options.

Delaware first time permits still take 3-4 months! Renewals about 3 weeks.

Connecticut sends a letter 3 + months before your license' expiration date.

drive yourself to one of 4 locations and get your pic took, give em $35 and you are good for 5 more years.

for me thats 30 minutes driving each way and 5 minutes inside.

    --fairly painless
as i've noticed about others--that they do not always do as i think they will nor often as they say they will.
this not only makes life interesting, it makes it dangerous too.
