Yes, my state...(and perhaps also Hawaii, Maryland, etc.) claims to be a 'may-issue' state.
But it doesn't deserve that title.
Like Illinois, it doesn't issue CC permits...at least not to any regular citizen.

Well, from the rumblings that I have heard, if there is to be any proposed deal, it seems that there may be enough pols who will agree on CC for Illinois, IF, there is a carve out for either Chicago proper, or Cook county. Although I do not believe this is a great solution, it may be the only thing we may get, if we get this at all. Welcome to the forum.

"Rotsa-Ruck' on that one. Moved away decades ago - family would like me back - but there is no way I will ever under the current conditions. Besides, I kind of like North Carolina anyway.
