Just curious, how many extra rounds do you carry? I got the +2 mags for my Glock 26, and have been carrying 24 rounds. Also specify what gun, or at least revolver or auto. I'm figuring one extra magazine is all the extra weight I want to carry around all day.

I've got too much other stuff in my pockets. If the 7 or 8 rounds in my CCW don't get it done, it's not my day.

I carry a couple different pistols, but no matter what I have a spare mag with me at all times

I always carry one spare mag for the gun I'm carrying that day. Quantity of rounds varies from 13 to 35.

NO spare ammo for either of my EDC weapons.
If I don't have the BG in 3 shots, he's got me.
I am not equiping myself to war with a gang. My threat level is one or 2 BGs mugging or carjacking me or walking into a rpbbery in progress.
My carry guns are 642 smith with +p JHP and a Colt Mustang with Federal personal defense ammo.

I have several different guns I carry, depending on what I'm doing on a given day. Always have a spare magazine with me, sometimes 2.

2 spare mags for the XD for a total of 49 1 spare for my LC9 for 15 so 64 total if I am carrying both which is most of the time I am out and about.

I carry a spare for whichever of my CCW semi autos I carry,
and if I carry a revolver I carry either a spare speedloader and a spare Tuff Strip or two moonclips. One speedloader or two clips fit in the same size pouch.
A wise old friend says "Nobody in a gunfight ever wished for a smaller gun with less ammo in it" and "more ammo is only bad if you're swimming or on fire".
Try not to screw up so bad they name the screw up after you. (Station 15 saying)

Glock 17 and/or 19 with two or three extra 17 mags. Since I don't get to choose the threat or the circumstances, better to have too much than too little. Besides, it requires very little extra effort to carry the extra rounds.

Depending on what I am carrying, I can go from carrying 15 rounds to 74 rounds. Normally its just 54 rounds.
Glock: G22 .40 S&W Smith and Wesson: Model 437 .38 Spl, and Sigma SW9VE 9mm
