Beware: My mother is among the legally armed

Last year, my mother's husband took my class and got his Handgun Carry Permit and now carries one of his handguns all the time, including the M&P9c that I convinced Ma to get him. Somehow, he convinced his wife - my mother - to do the same. A few weeks ago, she took my class. She is 63 years old and had never squeezed a trigger before that day. She researched and decided on her own she wanted a S&W 642LS, so I got the boss to order her one and my step-dad bought it for her.

I directed her to Limatunes's videos and she's learning more than I ever figured that she'd have interest in.

Today, her Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit came in the mail. I warn you that she is a pretty decent shot went she remembers to use both sights. If you plan on putting her in reasonable fear for her life, you better plan on killing her.

The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

That brought a tear to my eye.

Seriously: that is a great story. Should be more widely shared.

What a great story. Well done to the OP for getting two more on the street!

My late Father carried during WW-II when he was an attorney for the OPA. He walked to work a different way each day and packed a little .380 Browning in a home made holster. He got death threats all the time back then.\

Don't mess with us old folks. We don't multitask well, and our memories aren't what they used to be, so we'll just focus on taking you down quick before we forget where we were going.

In the old days woman had to be strong as a man not too walk behind them but to walk next to them and achieve a goal. She rocks; these are the people that made a nation strong

I'll never forget, some years back, my Mom calling me up and indignantly informing me she would no longer vote for the Democrats. "They're trying to take our guns away," she said. She was a Roosevelt Democrat, who lived through the depression and WW2. My Dad was a union tradesman. The anti gun platform of the "new" Democrats lost them a lot of support. My mom loved to shoot and hunt and stored a loaded handgun in the pocket of her recliner after dad passed away.
