Going to my conceal carry class tonight
My husband and I are going to our class tonight. I'm kinda nervous because I'm not sure what to expect. I don't know if there will be a test or if I just sit there and take good notes. Oregon doesn't require a hands-on test with our firearms.
I don't really have a question here. I'm just excited and wanted to share. Hope I don't look like an idiot tonight--no idea how many people will be in the class!

Snowcake, my advise is to use your ears more than your mouth. I'm willing to bet if there are more than you and your husband in the class someone will open their mouth and take the idiot button before you get a chance.
Please do take good notes and give us all a run down on the class.

You will not look like an idiot, This is a smart decision and you will not regret the valuable info you recieve. Most likely there won't be a test either. I applaud you and your husband to educating yourselves the correct way. Safety is key and I learned more from the class I took than imaginable. I have a new respect for the responsibility involved in CCW. Have fun and post back about your experience.

Congratulations. I always like to see another armed female.
Just remember that gun safety is in the mind and not some mechanical device!

Just learn and remember the rules! That's the most important safety aspect, then you can work on the rest. Best of luck to the both of you.

You'll be just fine...you find all about the safety and legal concerns of carrying a firearm.
Be sure to tell us how it went.

Good luck in your class tonight. Remember, there is no such thing as a dumb question........but if in doubt make your husband ask it!!! J/K

Thanks for all the encouragement and positive comments! I am proud to be a female who will soon carry legally.
I'm looking forward to learning more than what my husband has taught me so far. He has more experience with firearms (he grew up in Texas, I grew up in California). I'll be a good student and let all of you know how it went. Ta ta!

Congrats and good luck! You will do just fine. Most nervous part is waiting for permit to arrive in the mail.
Have a great time!

Exciting! I almost wish Georgia required a class in order to be licensed. I've had my permit for over a year and just haven't scraped up the cash for a good hands on training course. Make sure to bring us back anything new you learn
