I have and use one and like them. I carry either my 9x18 Makarov or my Ruger .357 Security six. I don't carry my G23 in it because I'm able to get my finger on the trigger through the material. If your XD has the back grip safety I wouldn't have a problem carrying it in the belly band.

it’s my every day holster with my G23 and yes I use a saf-t-blok. I love it and with a needle and thread I can modify it. It carries my gun and extra mag on the other side along with emergency cash. 20.00 EBay free shipping

Wife wears one every day. The XD might be a bit heavy for it, but you will just need to wear it and find out for yourself. The snubnose should be perfect.

The bulldog bands are wider/taller about 6 inches or so, and the undertech ones are about 4 inches or so. Like most holsters or carry methods, you just have to try it, but it is a workable carry method.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.
