    How hard is it to get a Non Res permit for Mass?

    I called up the number and gave them my info so they can send me the paperwork in the mail. What are my chances? I don't want to waste 100 dollars if there is no chance.

    According to GOAL.org they almost always issue non-res permits, as long as your not DQed on the back ground check. My GF is in the process of getting hers, so we'll see how that goes.

    Make sure your prints are _perfect_ though, as they are known to be nasty about that.

    Good Luck.

    You also MUST get a MA State Police certified training course certificate for your first LTC in MA. Make sure that all your paperwork is in order and you'll get a LTC-A/ALP out of MA. MSP follows the MGLs for LTC requirements, whereas MA Residents face 351 sets of rules as each chief makes up his/her own rules.

    MGL = Massachusetts General Law

    You have to take a MA certified class from a MA certified instructor. The course itself does not have to be in MA. An NRA Basic Pistol class meets the requirements PROVIDED that the instructor teaching the class is a MA certified instructor. To become a MA certified instructor, an NRA certified instructor has to fill out some paperwork and send a check to the MA state police.
