Traveling from VA through NC to SC soon. Any advice?
I will be taking a trip soon from VA to Beaufort, SC. I already checked out their concealed carry laws and see that my VA resident permit is accepted. As far as I can tell, I can't carry in bars or restaurants that serve alcohol as well as State buildings and schools. I also see that both are must inform states. Anything else I should know about CC in NC and SC?

Take a quick look at: Handgunlaw.us

I go from VA to GA a couple times a year by way of TN, NC, SC, (being I'm originally from GA). Since you're most likely just visiting, you probably won't be hitting any state buildings, or schools, etc.
Have a good trip.

Can't carry in places that charge admission in NC. Rest areas are GTG in NC, that might be helpful for you.

If your going to a private residence in SC, you must have the homeowners permission to carry there.

Wow, that's crazy! So much for C.A.N.T. in SC. Thanks for the heads up. Another plus for having an easily concealable pocket pistol.
