Interesting.. It appears to be aimed more at spotting criminals with guns. The reason I say that is that it appears most of the styles of carrying being depicted are not using a holster. While it is true some CCW people carry without a holster, most of them do.

That is a very interesting post! Anybody that carries openly or works as an unarmed security officer should take these tips to heart. Friends that are uniformed officers with the local PD have mentioned some of these things to me in past conversations.

Never would have thought that holster bulges might give you away...

I think the positions and articles of clothing must be taken with a grain of salt.
Save for someone wearing a floor length coat/slicker when the weather is not appropriate, or, like in the "D", when you see the thugs walking down the street, with the "pants on DA ground" routine, holding their hand over their front pants pocket when walking/hurrying across the street, I wouldn't give a whole lot of concern to it.
How do you know the guy bundled up in a winter coat in springtime isn't someone who's cold no matter what, and the person with their coat open in the middle of a blizzard is just the opposite??

Interesting what the NYPD anti-robbery unit will publish.

I really couldn't care if I am spotted by a cop or not, I am legally carrying and here in FLA as long as there is no blatant exposure I am not breaking any regs or laws

Looks like a primer to give police "excuses" for Terry type stop and frisks. So that they can later testify as to their "rationale".

    Go ahead and stare

If I was wearing a t-shirt & gym/ jogging pants along with a Smartcarry and a subcompact Glock (26/27/33) plus an extra magazine, they could stare all day and I would still pass the inspection.
If I had to reach for something and my shirt pulled up completely exposing my gym/ jogging pants then someone might notice a bulge.
No internal lock or magazine disconnect on my pistols!
