Funny it went off! wonder if the hammer was back. A revolver should not fire if dropped

It always "goes off when dropped." No one ever, you know, pulls the darned trigger screwing around with it, tries to catch it after they drop it and get their finger in the trigger guard, or just plain old does something stupid and negligent. Maybe guns just hate bathrooms? They seem to "just go off" quite a bit in them...

I'm sure he experienced two kinds of "discharge" in that stall!

I was just about to post an identical story from yesterday. (Except this guy is 24.)

I'm not taking mine in a bathroom ever again if they "just go off" in bathrooms.

At least in this guy's case, it may well be that the gun fired from the fall. "Cowboy style Ruger .357" could be an old Blackhawk without a transfer bar.

I carry always not because I go places trouble is likely, but because trouble has a habit of not staying in its assigned zone.

Me neither, I'm going to unholster, and hand it over to the bathroom attendant.

Aw c'mon guys give the guy a break. Poop happens, and it just so happens it happens in the bathroom every now and then.
Hopefully this will learn him some gun handling safety tips.
Maybe had an inexpensive flimsy holster, with very little retention to begin with.

I guess if your gonna scare the crap out of someone, that's the place to do it. I agree I'll check the gun in with the towel boy!

I had to make and emergency bathroom run once (don't normally use publick bathrooms, yes im weird) but I dropped my browning hipower on the floor once someone is in the next stall.

it didn't go off, I quit carrying for a long time after that.

Better trained and more experiance now, I don't think i'll be doing that again.
