Do You Feel Naked Without A Gun Now?

I know this has been covered before here but I figured it could use an update.
Once you get your concealed carry license, it changes everything; the way you think, the clothes you wear, your attentiveness to your surroundings, running scenarios thru your mind, etc.
I don't mean it's some horrible burden ... it's a wonderful freedom we have. But, at the same time, it is a responsibility and one that should be taken seriously.
I carry most of the time - a Glock G36 .45ACP or G19 9mm, in case you're wondering - except when forbidden by law. And, yeah, some of the laws are just plain dumb and some of the places that plaster their exteriors with No Guns Allowed signs are naive if not outright ignorant.
The real point here is that now that I'm used to carrying a handgun almost everywhere, on those occasions when I don't or can't ... well ... I feel naked.
I mean, like I might as well be walking down the street with no pants on, waving at people and going, "Hey, look at me! I'm unarmed, just like most of you!"
I talked to a buddy of mine who also has his CCW and he laughed and agreed with me. "Yeah, I know what you mean. It feels weird now when I don't wear a gun."
So are we the only two people in the whole country who feel this way?

Not really. I guess when I don't carry my SA changes so does how I would deal with a situation.

I just spent five days in Puerto Rico, where legal carry is an impossibility for most residents and all non-residents. I had a great time, but it felt very strange being unarmed. Not dangerous, but strange. That was the first time in quite awhile I was somewhere where carrying wasn't possible.

I had the same experience recently while visiting several countries.
As you said, I didn't feel I was really in danger. But it did feel strange.

We should not forget that the spark which ignited the American Revolution was caused by the British attempt to confiscate the firearms of the colonists. -

And on the topic I do feel weird when not carrying.

I can't carry at work (Policy) or to my kids basketball practices/games (At a school which is illegal.) And every time I leave the house without it I think "What if something happens today and I'm unarmed."

    no

i rely on SA and the gun is one of but many tools.
and as we know, we can not go everywhere with all our tools, so one plans
your day and dressed accordingly. travel and do your stops accordingly also.
and never forget that plans may change after you leave the house--plan for that also.

Yeah, I don't like being without sweetness. I miss her at work. And my wife too...
