    Ammo in your vehicle?

Does anyone here keep any extra ammo in their vehicle?

I have a Bug Pack for Wilderness Tactical that holds two spare 16rd mags for my XD9 that I toss in my truck. I doubt I will ever need my carry gun and the spare mag I carry with it let alone two more mags, but as the saying goes I'd rather have it and not need it...

Nope... I carry two spares on my belt, I figure if I make it to my truck the fight is over or I'm escaping. After 37 rounds I'm probably victorious, dead, or gone at high speed.

I carry extra magazines on me, but don't have any in my truck. If your going to keep extra magazines stored in your vehicle, remember to either rotate them out periodically or at least fire the ammo clean them and then reload.

I keep a case of cheap stuff in my truck, since I do lots of shooting both at the house and on the farm.

Yes. Ammo and mags. If the crap hits the fan and I'm not home I reach into my ghb (get home bag) and grab it and go!

Day to day, my spare ammo is on me. Traveling, I have a couple of boxes in my luggage for peace of mind.

I keep a full spare mag in my console, which makes me wonder if in the real heat of the summer and it is 150 degrees is that an issue?
