I live in Alabama, where we can defend ourselves the same,I understand what the Rep. is saying, you don't want to be killed because you might have the incorrect address,BUT,why would he not want you to be safe in your own home. What is left to the story that we have'nt heard,If the man was shot for simply being on the wrong porch, then I think charges would have already been filed, this one is starting to stink

Imagine that! A leftist Socialist from Milwaukee jumping on the ban wagon!! They can't protect the people as is in Milwaukee! Slap stick knee jerk reaction you come to expect from Milwaukee. Anything to strip basic rights of self protection! More power to the criminals! When are these people going to learn their social experiment is a total utter failure!

Might I suggest that he introduce a bill to enforce mandatory drug screening for all welfare recipients, and mandatory educational requirements for the children of the welfare queens!

Leon also led the charge in getting the photo ID blocked at the voting booth. He has taken a page from the Chicago political play book!

This might be my response to Rep. Young, were I a Wisconsinite:

Wisconsin: Wisconsinites have announced their intention to remove
Representative Leon D. Young (D-Milwaukee) from office at the earliest opportunity.

“Following this week’s proposal by rep. Young to repeal Castle Doctrine in Wisconsin, it is clear that this lawmaker is severely flawed,” said many Wisconsinites.“Unfortunately, this legislator was elected in the belief that he would serve and represent his constituency and the electors ignored the possible
consequences of their vote. Now, the life of this man Young, has taken an inane tack.”

“While debating this law, he and fellow legislators knew that this legislation would lead to the ability of our state's residents to defend their homes against intruders. But Rep Young didn't vote for that. ”

“His legislative colleagues have allowed the people of Wisconsin to protect themselves and their loved ones in their homes and in public."

Rep. Young did not vote for the people of Wisconsin, and this cannot happen again.”
    All that said....
    It could be worse.

Madison and Milwaukee keep dragging the restof the state down. Not unlike Illinois, on city can control the rest of the state due to population.
I'd rather be lucky than good any day

There's nothing that will change someone's moral outlook quicker than cash in large sums.

Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights. Because you can't have five wolves and one sheep voting on what to have for supper.

Unbelievable but not all that surprising. The way the Liberals have been trying to destroy what is left of this once great state I'm starting to give some serious thought to leaving, but I have no clue where I would go.

Anyone have a time machine so I can go back about 200 years before all this craziness started.

I am sure some judge in Dane Co. will put an injunction on the castle doc and maybe even our conceal carry permits.

    Just like voter ID.

A quick check of Wis court records disclosed Bo Morrison has had 15 arrests including battery. Apparently not such a 'good' kid after all.

The plan all alone has been to recall Walker and repeal Act 35 CC, Act 10 and Act 94 as soon as possible.
they Are also working to resend Voter Id. They got a Judge that signed a recall Walker petition to halt enforcement of Voter ID.
No way the Libs are going to let any of these laws stand.

Regarding CC, Hasn't WI passed it a few times before only to have Doyle veto it? Seems like the state has wanted CC for a long time now. Not to mention the Libs love to spend and people getting permits puts money in their pocket. I think CC will stand, and the Dem that runs against Walker will use it to try to win over other WI voters. "See, vote for me, I want you to have your right to carry also!"

If I remember correctly, the individual who was shot had broken into the locked porch while trying to hide from police. How far do you want to let someone break into your residence while you try to figure out if they are armed, if they mean you physical harm, etc. That's the whole point of the Castle Doctrin. Rep. Young should be replaced at the earliest opportunity.

I know this, in my letter to Rep. Young I pointed that out. I stated (more of in a more respectful manner) that before he embarrassed himself, he should look at the kids, record and that the kid was hiding from police on that porch. who knows what could happen. then i also told him a story where my best friends 3yr old son and wife were kidnapped on their own property. now once that happens, how are police going to do anything? I plan on getting him out A.S.A.P

All politics are local. Organize, work hard, and reap the rewards. Ignore and pay the price. I am not being critical, just making observations.
