Absolutely an option!

Possibly, but I prefer other methods when I can.

Never gave it much thought, I don't have an opinion one way or the other.
-
Not a fan, there are better options but I don't see it as a problem.

Back Pocket Carry (Poll)
I know there are other threads like it, but this one is mine...
I've never been a fan of it, but now I'm starting to consider it with the addition of my Taurus 738.
I tried my best to cover all basic poll options, if your answer doesn't fit please select the closest one or 'other' and provide some input.
Thanks!

I am not big on back pocket carry for two reasons:
weapon retention
sciatica can develop by carrying things in your back pocket..... that is why I front pocket carry a wallet too

I don't see a poll Thunder.
I'm not a fan of back pocket carry but know many that are and really like it.

Poll is there now, it seems it posts the new thread before the poll is actually finished.
Thanks guys!

It works for me. I've had an LCP in my right rear pocket, more often than not for the last 3 years or so.

There are lots of things I don't mind sitting on(chairs, couches, etc.) but I see no way this would be comfortable.

I hear ya, I'm actually trying it now and feel my wallet more than the gun at the moment.

The smallest weapon I have is my LC9, and it's just a little too long for a back pocket, but I have been tempted as a last resort.

Slow to draw, retenion issues, easy to foul, difficult to draw from sitting, possible concealment issues, almost impossible to draw if fighting from a grounded position. I have no use for pocket carry of any kind especially back pocket.

That's the "Let me reach for my wallet" carry.
I much prefer strong side IWB/OWB, either behind the hip or appendix.

Precisely. I also prefer strong side IWB (with a bigger gun, I might add) as well. I usually use this method as a BUG, and on rare occasions a primary where nothing else would likely stay concealed.

Yup. If you don't have a mammoth arse, it'll push to one side and be quite comfortable.

front pocket for wallet and pocket gun.
carrying my wallet in the front pocket has saved me being pick-pocketed many times.
its one reason long ago many people thought i was NYC raised.
try various draws when sitting and standing-- front pocket or rear;
which was the most natural?
which was easiest?
than for you, thats the way to carry.
and it depends on the design of the pocket holster.
for the p380/p32 the holdster becomes part of the gun and so comes out of the pocket
with the gun. aids in holding and accuracy. win/win for me.
as i've noticed about others--that they do not always do as i think they will nor often as they say they will.
this not only makes life interesting, it makes it dangerous too.

Personally I don't like having it behind my back, too much reach, especially if I may be having to fend off an attack and need my weapon.
But hey, whatever blows your skirt up. To each his own, I like an appendix carry but some people hate that. We're all different.
