    CCW On Indian Reservations

Here in Montana we have 7 reservations. State issued CW permits are valid within the boundaries of these reservations, with no additional tribal restrictions or requirements.

How do other states handle this?

    Thanks.

Not allowed here in NM on tribal lands unless you get prermission from an authorized governing body.

Here in AZ it\'s not allowed either. You are, however, protected for a 100'corridor along public thoroughfares. From my limited understanding of the law on this, it is questionable whether you can carry inside a store that is along the thoroughfare. I pass through a reservation twice a day and carry. When I go in a store or service station, my rig goes in my briefcase. I put it back on just off the store\'s property.....

Bumper, good point, it\'s similar here in NM as far as the thoroughfare. Most of the stores along the routes I travel here sell alcohol though, so I always \"de-gun\" before I go in anyway:)

Here we are okay entering a place where they sell alcohol, but you can\'t go in a place where alcohol is consumed.
