No IWB holster works for me and I don't want to have anything to do with wearing oversize pants. I pocket carry.

Have you tried the Milt Sparks Versa Max 2 for IWB? When I started carrying, I was exactly your height and weight. I went with the VM2 early and haven't looked back.

5"7", 160 pounds: most often a Kahr CM-9 in DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster. holster gun most often a Sig P-229/.357SIG in a Kramer Belt Scabbard, Kramer Paddle holster, or Comp Tac or Blade Tech kydex. my best gunny friend considers me a holster nut, and i have to agree with him. belt is most often a Wilderness 5-stitch Instructor's Belt or 5-stitch Frequent Flyer belt, 1.5" wide. sometimes a Galco or Kramer 1.25" wide leather belt in dressier pants.

5'8" (though I often lie and say 5'9") at about 172 and a semi healthy, I guess I kind of have an athletic build without being big or, you know, athletic looking! I carry about 90% outside the waistband. I carried Commander and full sized 1911's until 2 years ago when I switched to the Glock 17 and occasionally an M&P9. I often wear jeans and a t shirt with no issues, though I wear an untucked button down when weather permits. At work I might wear something similar though a little more dressed up with a jacket when it's cool.

It's only showing because I'm at the range… There is one spare mag on my left side.

Back in my 1911 days… Commander bobtail in a VMII.

Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe

G30 IWB Kholster at 4:00 held up with a Wilderness Instructor Belt. When I carry my G23 it is in a Crossbreed ST, same spot same belt.

I was trying to find a post from someone close to my size but after 5 pages I got tired of reading about 5'6" (and taller) "short and stocky" people. So here's mine...

    5'0"
    109 lbs
Ruger LC9 in a Bear River leather OWB.
Glock 26 (as of last weekend) will be my new every day carry as soon as I decide on a holster.

Let me just say, being 5' tall with a somewhere around a 22 inch waist does NOT offer much room for extra "stuff" and it takes some effort to conceal anything bigger than an NAA. LOL.
