    Gun Sales Explode...FOX News

Well here ya go. Its now "official".

Sales of handguns and ammunition are booming across the country, and retailers say itís all about the November election.
Gun shop owners around the nation told that sales, brisk ever since President Obama was elected, have spiked upward in recent months. And manufacturers are having so much trouble keeping up with the demand that one, Sturm, Ruger & Co., canít keep up with demand. The Southport, Conn.-based company has had to suspend new orders after taking orders for more than 1 million guns in the first three months of the year. Smith & Wesson sales are way up, as well.

I could always buy another gun that I want, but luckily I am stocked up enough right now on guns and ammo that I don't need to buy any more.

Obama is the best salesmen for the firearms industry, and they must love him for it.

About 8 buddies and myself went and spent about $70-$100 each on ammo last weekend. To go shooting. In the nice spring weather. Also, one of my buddies is planning on using his tax return to buy a gun, so he already went shopping.

...Must be the election, though, lol.

I have what I need. I have a pistol that I use for target practice exclusively, a carry weapon, a shotgun, and a 1911. Honestly I couldn't see myself buying more. I have tons of ammo as well. I used to be all about buying the latest stuff and getting a small collection. I sold a lot of it off and only kept a few things that serve a practical purpose for me.

As soon as I have funds available I plan on getting about 30,000 more small pistol pistol primers and around 24 pounds of Unique or bullseye pistol powder

I have ammo, and these days only buy guns based on 'want', not 'need'.

Unfortunately, my kid is still in 'need' mode. I think I'll buy his July birthday present now.

I'm planning a purchase soon. Nothing to do with the election. Everything to do with me finally picking one out and saving up money for it.

I keep saying I don't want or need anymore, but then I see an ad for an SR1911, or a classified ad lists an old Model 66 or something like that, and I think, "why not?"
