    Oklahoma CWL (something funny)

In Oklahoma, passport type photos, fingerprints, background check, fees, class, etc. are all required to obtain a CWL. I somehow believed 1 of the 2 passport photos would be used on the CWL. What is actually done is the passport photos are somehow scanned and sized to fit in the photo area of the license. I don't mean to complain, but the person or equipment doing the scanning resized the photo in such a way that they compressed the width while maintaining the height ... which results in looking rather like a horse's face.

I am wanting to see other OK CWLs now to see if I am the only one that was "horsified". (Although I guess looking thinner is never a bad deal ... until you get to the point of having a pencil shaped head.)

My first permit was an Oklahoma permit, issued in 96. Didn't have the distortion issue with it.

We had a friend that moved to VA after getting a permit in OK in '95 or '96. Did you work with horses about that time?

The pictures in Kansas that are sent in are not whats used. You get your photo taken at the DMV and that is what is on your CCL. I have no idea what the passport sized photo is used for that I attached to my application.

In MA. When my wife saw the photo on my LTC (license to carry), she said, "Who's that?" Also, the reproduction of my fingerprint is just a black blob.

No, I was retired from the Air Force, and after staying in the area for another 4 years decided to move. All told I spent 17 years there. Got stationed there in 81 and left in 98. I was down in the SW corner of the state.

Wow. All we get is a crappy digital camera picture taken in front of the Sheriff's door, and his business card laminated to the back of the license. XD

Ours actually has our photo, what types of firearms we are licensed to carry, all our personal descriptive info ... height, weight, eye color, hair color, and much more. Our license even has some fancy holographic insets in the laminate covering. And, I look like it's about 2.5 inches from one of my ears directly across to the other.
