What Percentage Of Your Shooting Acquaintances Have Their Permit To Carry?
OK.
I was surprised at a couple of conversations that I had this week with some guys that are very enthusiastic about guns and shooting. Neither had gotten their permit to carry.
I don't expect everyone to have their permit to carry but it did make me pause and think.
What percentage, would you estimate, of your shooting acquaintances also have their permit to carry?

Of my shooting acquaintances I'd say close to 90% have their carry permits. Of those probably 25% carry on a daily basis.

None, although I'm working on a few. We're all pretty young overall with no families of our own to speak of so they've got time to figure it out.

define acquaintances please.
friends--i have few and all who live where they can, do.
and those who can't have had training and their homes 'examined'
people i know, well if i get the feeling from what they have said or done that
they may be interested in self determination, i'll talk with.
as i've noticed about others--that they do not always do as i think they will nor often as they say they will.
this not only makes life interesting, it makes it dangerous too.

Yeah 25%... not nearly enough. An percentage that carry 100%: zero.

Of the people I regularly shoot with, 100%. How often they carry? Never. One of them is in Madison, were every other business is posted and is in and out of federal buildings daily, so it's really inconvenient for him to carry. The other got it if he ever needs to travel to Milwaukee or something, says our area is safe enough he doesn't need a gun.

Of those that I know, one carries, but won't carry with one in the pipe, even though they admit to the fact they probably won't have time to rack the slide should the need arise
