I'm carrying a sig p238 right now it's one of my favorite EDC's I just went to colorado last week and that's what i took it's light, shoots great, can carry with any of my clothes, my glock is my second choice but on long trips driving not nearly as comfortable...

I would take both, conceal the .380 on your person and have the P250 some where easily accessible when seated in the vehicle.

I agree!!! Why not take both? You can keep the 9mm in the glove box and wear the .380. Why would you NOT take both? I'd never travel without two guns. One could malfunction or be stolen/lost. It's a no-brainer.
Pistols: Glock 21SF, Glock 30SF, Colt 1911 GCT (all .45ACP),
    Revolvers: Ruger SP 101 (.357MAG/.38SP), Judge (.410G/.45LC)

    Long guns: Daniel Defense AR-15's (M4V4 and M4V5), Mossberg Shotguns (400 and 500, both 12G), Ruger (.22;LR)

No, I have no intentions at this point of ordering an IWB holster for it.

    +1 I agree with this

I honestly am suprised at the results so far, almost 2:1 ratio in favor of my 9mm.

Its been said by a few to take both. I do not plan on taking both, with my method of dress plus everything else (cell phone, wallet, keys, flash light, pepper spray) I do not have an extra pocket for pocket carry which would have me leaving one in the car (I do have an electronic car safe) which is something I do not like doing.

I know that I want a bullet that will penetrate even layers of clothing with no problem. There is a post I wrote last year about a guy at a gas station that I think was "interviewing" me as a victim and it was 100 degrees out and he was wearing a full parka and how many other layers I do not know.

If You shoot best with the .380 than take it. Acouple of good high center of mass hits with an .380 are better than a miss with a 9mm.

I need to get more range time with both before the trip, both are new. The laser on the .380 I think would be a slight advantage.

I would always go with a 9mm over a .380 as a primary carry weapon. Unless deep concealment is a real factor.

Really if you need either it will be up close not across a big distance.
Chance a are good if you get a chance to defend your self when attacked you will fire 2-3 rounds average.
The 380 will do the job. In order for a weapon to do you any good you must have it with you ,then you need to hit the mark with it, and you must follow the first round up with 1 or 2 more well placed rounds.
If the 380 fits you well for carry and the 9 has some issues if you can hit your mark with the 380.
    You answered you own question.
