What amazes me is that CNN still tows an anti-gun line, even as guns are becoming more socially accepted. Gallup polls tell the tale, even 55% of democrats have a "favorable" view of the NRA for goodness sake.

Well, that still leaves them 9 viewers. CNN is way behind the cable news ratings, 3rd even behind more radical MSNBC.

I have been done with them since day one. Don't you know that they stand for Communist News Network.

Instead of calling it the news, it should be called the "corporate political spin".

Nothing in our Constitution even vaguely promotes the redress of grievances with guns; the "redress of grievances" clause of the First Amendment has nothing to with the "right to bear arms" described in the Second Amendment. Rather, what the Constitution protects is the ability to redress our grievances by petitioning our government.
That's not even in the apples and oranges category of bad comparisons. These writers are/were both lawyers? I suppose both of them would just as soon toss out the BoR, just like fearful leader.

The only common sense gun legislation was written about 224 years ago.

I carry always not because I go places trouble is likely, but because trouble has a habit of not staying in its assigned zone.

My doctor gave me medication for my blood pressure and advised me against getting angry and uptight so I stopped watching them YEARS ago. I couldn't even name one their shows..
Why?? Because at the last second, the Police are minutes away.

The article hits all of the low points: race (without a demonstrable pattern), indictment of SYG law itself (with democratic approval), guns kill the wrong people and cause crime (reputable news sources and our most fundamental institutions don't find this), and speculation of experts (fallacy). The article fails in its final lament to "[equip with] knowledge it takes to frame a good and righteous petition". That is certainly a prime benefit of the fourth estate. Don't expect any "good and rightous petitions" from this CNN entry.
