    hr 218 badge

All retired leo that can carry under hr 218 already have a badge and I.D from their department or bureau that identifies them as a retired Law Enforcement Officer, they don't need no stinkin' badge!

I can see some poor sap being pulled over by a LEO and the sap flashes "THE BADGE"... I would bet the LEO would take the badge away and hit him up with impersonating an idiot ticket...

Same category as those plastic license plate covers that "reflect" a camera's photo ability... wanna buy a bridge???

I prefer to be judged by 12 then carried by 6

I'm a retired Officer. I carry my retired ID card, my CCW, and my HR218 qualification card. Those are the three pieces of ID that work when carried together. I have a retired shield from the department... but it hurts my ample butt when I sit on it. As another poster mentioned. Most retired cops have department creds.

I love it when folks feel they need to wear a badge or sash, lets me know who to stay clear of. :)

I would think that the fact that it says Police in a larger text with a different back ground color than the national safety act text conuld easily be seen as impersinating an officer.

Oh Wow! I just have to get me one of them! I'll dress up all in black, pin that on, and go shopping at the local mall! No thugs will dare to mess with me then! (Sarcasom mode off). I really didn't think they made those things! You learn something new everyday! I wonder if the "Sniperofbuffalo" has heard about them and purchased his yet?

I just Googled it and found the image. Apparently, if you can think of it, it's probably out there somewhere.

Glue a magnetic rubber sheet on the back of it. Trim the rubber sheet and slap it on the refrigerator.

Wearing a shiney badge that says you are carrying concealed kind of defeats the purpose of carrying, well, concealed. If you want a shiney piece of metal with no meaning, go to the toy store.

That would be paired well with a nice chrome plated .44.

I cannot even imagine anyone actually buying or wearing such a thing as this. Maybe it should be reversible and say "village idiot" on the flip side.

Can't help but wonder, if somebody feels the need for a badge like that, should they really be carrying at all? I find people like that to be spooky.
