    Winter CCW vs Summer CCW

Do any of you change your concealed carry weapon based on the season? If so, based on the season, what do you carry and what is your method of carrying it.

I can't really participate because I intend on carrying my Glock 32 all year around.

In winter I carry a G19 OWB or a CW9. In summer It's almost always the CW9. On occasion I'll pocket carry a snubby.

I carry either a G19 or a full size .45 inside the waste band. The time of year doesn`t matter to me. I tend to carry the G19 more because it not as heavy as the .45.

Nope, G19 year around unless my dress doesn't allow for it. Even in the winter, when I am usually wearing a coat, it still has to be concealable without because if I am going inside for any length of time it will probably be coming off. As far as the summer, I can carry it under most of my T-shirts with no problem. Before anyone says it doesn't get too hot here in the summer, I used to live in Florida back then would often carry my Government 1911 IWB in shorts and a T-shirt during the summer so having a big gun during the heat is doable with a good holster and belt as long as your body type doesn't make it too uncomfortable. Having a big or heavy pistol doesn't make it any hotter, I will be sweating with or without it.

In the summer it's usually a mouse gun in the pocket. Winter carry is a 1911 or G-17.tom.

Not much changes for me. Wait! I do have those 4 or 5 days per year that I have to wear jeans until about 10:30 before I switch back to shorts. Glock 19 or Glock 30SF IWB for me. If attire permitted, I would like to carry my Beretta 92FS but it's just too big for shorts and a tee-shirt and too big for IWB.

G26 w/milled RDS and extended barrel year round. I have a G19 that has had the grip trimmed to 26 length I carry occasionally.

If I need deeper concealment, it goes in a bellyband with my shirt tucked in over it. Otherwise, it's AIWB with an untucked shirt.

One of two choices...summer or winter (whatever that is)...Glock-36/SP101.

In the fall, winter, and spring, I carry a full size 1911 in either an IWB or OWB holster, depending on how I am dressed/temperature/outer garments. Same in the summer unless I am wearing shorts or cargo pants and a tank top of T-shirt. Then I generally carry a S&W 642 in a Nemesis pocket holster in my right front pocket. If I'm wearing Levis, it's still the 1911.

I carry either my SA LW Champion 1911 or smith model 66 all year. I will switch to a smith j-frame .38 spcl (mod 60 or 442) if I am wearing shorts or making a quick run to the store.

Haven't had a whole lot of summer yet, but has gotten into the 70's and I was wearing summer attire. Still did the same 4003,M&P FS and M&Pc rotation I did in the winter.

No matter the season I tend to have my LCP in my pocket. During the winter months on occassion I'll carry my 3" SP101 or SR9c.

for those of us who live where there are distinct seasons---
rather than the 2 Florida has---hot and hot with bugs.

ua, there is a rotation of guns dependent on how i am dressed.
and most dress different for the snow than the summer swelter
