yes; I believe so because it is city/government property unless it is a school/scholastic event

It depends what event is going on there at the time,If it's involving a pro/semi pro sporting event you can't carry there,as far as gun shows every one I've been to has a 30.06 sign posted

You cannot post a 30.06 sign on government property in the state of Texas. State law, they had them on the Irving convention center and after someone wrote a letter to the city manager and complained they had to take them down

Tell that to the Ft. Worth police officer who works the front door at every show. He seemed really pleased to inform CHL holders that they better not even be carrying a loaded mag unless they wanted some shiny new bracelets

Police officers are not lawyers and they do what the management tells them to do. like I said as far as I know they can't stop you because it is government property as long as it is not a scholastic or school program. They cannot post a permanent 30.06 sign at the FT Worth Conv Center; it is in fact against the law

Sec. 30.06. TRESPASS BY HOLDER OF LICENSE TO CARRY CONCEALED HANDGUN states
    e) It is an exception to the application of this section (not any other section) that the property on which the license holder carries a handgun is owned or leased by a governmental entity and is not a premises or other place on which the license holder is prohibited from carrying the handgun under Section 46.03 or 46.035.

edit: I looked up the subject on a texas CHL webb site and there is the link to extra info. it gets more indepth then we will get on here..remember these are our rights and if we don't stand our ground and fight they will go on and keep doing what they want.

I honestly think he might get a new pair for every show. There is always a 30.06 sign posted front and center as you are in the line to get into the show. Like they say, you may beat the rap, but you won't beat the ride
