    Wife CCW

My wife knowcked my socks off the other day. We had recently gotten her a .22 Taurus for her to shoot at the local range. Now I grew up around guns and gun safety, but she had never even saw a real gun. After taking her to the range and teaching her the basics of safety and general shooting, she asked me if I would be ok with her getting her CCW permit and carrying. I almost fell over with pride. I told her as long as she would feel safe she should do it. So her app is in and she's going crazy playing the waiting game. Looks like Saturday we'll be going to find her a good carry gun... Probably a Bersa .380.

WOOO HOOO now i have an excuse and bargaining ground to buy more guns... ,"you get one I get one.." i hope at least.

Congrats to you and the wife!

Remember these words, "But Honey, I think we need that other pistol over there too. I'm sure your're gonna like the Bersa but you might like that (insert suitable hand cannon here) also, and if you don't wellllll, I could probably get used to it."

Good luck and tell her you're proud of her.

I think the Bersa will suit her quite well - my wife has one (was mine!!) - tho I hope to get her up to the UC9 eventually.

Great that she has made this decision herself - gotta be a keeper

    That's really great!

I always wondered what it would be like to NOT have your wife roll her eyes at you every time she sees your gun!

Awesome!!!! Sounds like you picked a might fine woman.

If more women would train, get their credentials and CARRY, crime against us would drop post haste! I finally got my own mom to train, and get her CCW, but I can't get her to CARRY!!! What good is all that training and expensive paper if you don't exersize your rights.

I tell her a well dressed woman never leaves the house without a great pair of shoes, and her gun! Well except for maybe at the beach, then you can leave the shoes in the car .

Congrats. My wife has a Bersa .380 that she has carried, but has now progressed. She is currently carrying my SIG P239 .357SIG. I have a couple of dealers looking for a P239 for her. She shoots everything well. Let her start with the Bersa and get where she shoots that well and then just be prepared. The SIG for my wife will be the fourth pistol besides the Bersa that I have bought for her. Unfortunately none of the other three were what I wanted either.

The thunder 380 is what my wife carrys, great gun, but she is also involved in cowboy action shooting and since she has been shooting a pair of Ruger single sixs in .32 H and R magnum she has decided she wants a wheel gun for carry so we are going to the gun show in conroe texas this weekend and hook her up with a .38 special.

MAN....do I know that look! are our wives related?
how about, what do you need THAT THING for?...we are only going....insert place here.

Seriously, it has gotten better, but I think I am light years from her asking for a CCW.
