We'll I've been a long time lurker but never posted. Received my CCW 3-4 weeks ago and today was the first day that I had the opportunity and the bravery to carry. I know it sounds weird that I go through the process then be scared to actually go through with it but I knew I had to. Since I was still nervous, I carried loaded but with an empty chamber just to feel a little extra secure. Did half a day of shopping with the family, which included the "Walmart walk!" Best thing was my wife never even knew. I even asked once we got home if she noticed anything different today about me.
It should only get easier going forward.
Looking forward to more of everyone's informative post!
Congrats and welcome aboard.

Just go about your normal business like you usually do. No one will even notice you're carrying. They will be to busy talking on their cell phones or texting to even notice you.

Give me a minute before I post again.
I remember that first day, too. It was just over three years ago and haven't left the house unarmed since. You will quickly realize that nobody pays attention to anything and you'll pay attention to much more.

After a while it becomes normal, kind of like putting on shoes and combing your hair if you have hair. The real thing to remember is the laws of your state.

Very soon, you will be looking at different holsters and pocket pistols and back up guns and "just picking up milk" j-frames and everything in between.
