    Got made, and made someone.

OK, this isn't the usual I got made thread, but thought it had enough interesting points to type it up.

Saturday afternoon it was my turn to cut the grass at our church. My wife went with me and she wanted a turn using the church's riding mower. As she is across the road cutting a field the church also owns the minister came out of his house which borders the church property. He had brought out a couple of bottles of water for us. I was half way across the parking lot and yelled over to him "Thanks, We brought our own water!" and proceeded to walk over to my wife to see if she wanted me to finish the lot.
When I returned the minister was still waiting by my truck. He wanted to show me something, which he flashed me before I was twenty feet from him. Even at that distance I knew it was his CPL.

He and his wife had just gotten them. He knows I carry all the time so I sat down and we talked while I waited for my wife. I asked him if he was carrying at the time and he said "Yes, can you tell where?" I said I assumed he was pocket carrying since I knew he bought a Kahr with the intent of pocket carrying. He proceeded to pat himself down, going from one pocket to another. He had on cargo shorts so there were a lot of pockets. When he was done he lifted his polo shirt to show me the Kahr in an IWB holster with a spare mag. I told him it concealed quite well, even after I knew where it was. He told me that he had been able to see that I had my snob nose in my front pocket of my jeans shorts as I walked across the parking lot.

He wants to get a snub nose revolver for his wife to carry since she has to go into the bad part of the neighboring town for her job. I said that I think a revolver makes sense for her because the manual of arms is simpler and he should get her one.

Had he not known where and what you carried, or that you carried at all...he would not have known.
It's nice to know that the minister is pro-gun.

Have to love a 'Man of the Cloth' who fully understands that God does indeed help those, who help themselves; in this case personal security while tending to the flock!

    Fixed that for you

    Got made, and made someone.
So....does that mean the encounter came out as a wash? Or were you proud of being "made" by someone you made?
Sort of simple exercise when you're in the buddy program and/or willing to take a bullet for someone else that you know full well will never pay you back.
