Very cool. I think alot of police departments share the idea, but politics can get in the way. I dont know many (now that I think about it, i dont know ANY) LEO's that arent pro 2A.
On a side note, that website states that one of their cruisers is a Crown Victoria with a V6 and front wheel drive. Hmm...

Last I checked, our Sheriff Dept would NOT take fingerprints if you wanted a CCW

Wish ours had that attitude. Live in a small town, but not real far from a large city. Small Police Dept that seems scared to death of anyone who has a permit or carries a gun. The ironic part of that is .... the town is full of people who are LEO's of the larger city, FBI, 1- CIA agent that not everyone knows about, several sheriff deputies of the county, highway patrol, KBI, attorneys , judges, etc. Yet, they are avidly against any citizen legally carrying a gun. Now, how dumb is that?

In Wisconsin sheriff's do not have anything to do with issuing permits or purchase of weapons.
