There should be some kind of licensing program run by the government for instructors, too (sarcasm off)

Seriously, it is a right to bear arms. It is a responsibility to do it safely. How one gets to be responsible is up to them.

Dandyone, go up to the top of Internet Explorer and click Favorites and then your first choice is "add to favorites". Click that.

    Thanks.

I was hoping for a way to do this within the site rather than on my computer, though.

BTW, I just realized that if you click the post # (in this case it was #47), then the url will bring you straight to the post rather than the page.

There it is: My CHL class watched the Judicious Use of Force video which is fantastic. I don't know if your average gun owner (I doubt many here are considered average since we're all on a forum talking about it) deeply considers issues like the legal ramifications of using deadly force, when deadly force is justified (ironclad/thick ice) and things like discrepancy of force when assessing a threat.

That dumb lady in Florida who just got 20 years could have benefited from these videos before firing off a warning shot into the wall of the room where her children were located to scare off her husband, who threatened her, but then she CAME BACK into the house to get her keys, where she fired the shot.

Had she seen these videos or had a better understanding of these issues and the laws in her state, I bet she would have handled the situation a lot better.

    Also, thanks for the links!

I've followed Mas for many, many years. While many teach how to use the gun, he brought in the equally important perspective of when to use the gun and how to be legally justified in doing so. While he has his detractors, he has definitely benefited the armed citizen and cop.
