Some of you might know about Jackson, Ms' mayor Frank Melton. He is currently facing several charges for carrying a concealed firearm. Some of the locations include a park, church, college, not sure if he is being charged for carrying on a commercial plane but he has, and not sure if he is being charged with carring in the capitol building in DC. but he has done that as well. This man is a fool, if anyone would like to read up on any of this you can at www.jacksonfreepress.com

Can't we find politicians that are in the middle? Either we have them that don't do enough to try and prevent crime, and/or revoke CCW and our 2A rights, or we have this guy....I think he's taking things just a little to far. SARCASM

I am guessing he thought he was ''immune'' due to his position. Probably plenty of politico's and similar think this, as they are ''special''.

It is reassuring I guess to see that they can be also brought to book.

He is, indeed, a wacko. Keep in mind, while he wanted to carry anywhere and anytime he pleased, he swore to shut down any gun shows in the city of Jackson, even if it meant overriding state law (which he believed he could do, as the mayor).

For anyone who has lived in or near Jackson in recent years, this wasn't too surprising. Frank Melton is indead on a whole 'nother level all by himself.

    Part of the charges

are carrying in a church and carrying in a park.

If they find him innocent do you think that those stupid restriction could be removed from the CCW laws since a court didnt uphold them? I would love these to be stricten from the law. I cant figure out why they need restrictions other then allowing a business to post. Do they really think that someone who is trusted to carry everywhere else will just myteriously turn in to a nut in a park and start shooting up the place?

And yes he was a part of the mayors meetings with Bloomberg a few months back to stop guns. Its ok for him to have one but not everyone.

I think that it could be possible if enough stink is brought about.

Most politicians think do as I say and not as I do. To be honest, I bet alot of them carry. I bet the house floor is a melting pot of firearms, I bet many government issue considering the times we are in. Back during the birth time of our country it was natural for someone to get shot or stabbed during a disagreement in the house. Yep, in my opinion some still carry if not most.

Then you would be wrong most do not carry guns and hate to have security details following them around. I know I'm a Capitol Police Officer, we protect these people and boy do they need it.
