    Got my new BUG today

I have been carying my Glock 19 since 1995. It is hands down the best semi auto defense pistol around. My BUG has been a CA undercover .38spl or an Astra firecat .25 auto. The snuby has always been just a little big to be a perfect BUG, so I usually carried the astra as a BUG. The other day I was in a local gun shop and they had a Kel-Tec P-3AT used in the case for $135. What a deal ! So I purchased it gave it an extensive detailed cleaning and gave it a new place in an ankle holster.

    CARRY ON!

Sounds like a good buy. Should be a good replacement.

I agree with you on the Glock 19 for sure. You know.....I've also given thought to the Kel-Tec pistols for a BUG once or twice. I've held a few and worked them. I've done research on them as well....different models and so on. I could see it happening for me....possibly.....remotely possible, but still possible. I figure you made a good choice there. For that price, I probably would have bought it myself.......yeah....quite a deal!
    Ankle holster? Well.....it's your baby.
Glad you're happy with your new BUG set up.

yes, the j-frame can be somewhat big for a "bug". i know i carried one as a "bug" for over 30 years. but the last 8 years my j-frame has got a little more safe time because i have a p3at. the p3at is easy to drop in the back pocket, j-frame not so much. j-frame in ankle holster gets old.

+ 1 P3at is easy to drop in the front or back pocket. IMO, easy access compared to ankle during CQB.
