Sigh.... what a maroon.
1) Was his gun in a pocket holster, or just stupidy tucked in his pocket?
2) Was it a real PoS gun that would discharge from a drop, or being carried in an unsafe mode?
In either case this guy is certainly NOT a RESONSIBLY armed citizen.
What a pain in the butt. They go through a class get a permit and still don't have a clue about safety.
I am surprised the title of the article was not something on the order of “Concealed Carry Permit Holder Endangers Theater Crowd With Gun”.Quote:
The man has a valid permit to carry a concealed weapon, Dyer added.
I saw that on the web this morning. I shot,,,, er, ah,, I mean,,,, I laughed my butt off!! Dode/morons come in all flavors, including CCW holders.
Not to mention the moron who reported "seven to eight shots fired."
I can't think of a modern gun that will fire when dropped. I think we have another Plaxico Burress wannabe here.
Any word on the model of gun?
at first they say he dropped it and then they changed it, either dropped or sat on it wasn't in a holster or at least a good oneQuote:
UPDATE 9:40 p.m. Tuesday:
A man accidentally shot himself in the buttocks inside the Century 14 movie theaters in downtown Sparks on Tuesday night when he sat on a gun he had brought into the cinema, Sparks police dispatch said.
I'd say he is very lucky this didn't turn out worse. The gun hit the ground and fired upwards it could have done a lot more damage from that angle. Also he's lucky he didn't hurt anyone else around him. I also wonder what kind of weapon he had that would go off from that.
Carrying a pistol with the hammer cocked = bad juju.
Oh, my!
I've been afraid of this. This paints a picture that only a anti gunner could love.
