Hi All,
I'm new to this site and to CCW, I am thinking about taking a class and applying for my LTC. Since I live in Ma. and from what I've read on this site it seems like a very difficult task. I'm 55 and have never been arrested in my life. I live just north of Boston and would welcome any/all advice on the best way to avoid any issues when applying. Love the forum and thanks to all.

Welcome to the forum!
Don't know much about MA, but I don't think it's ever too late to go for your permit. At age 55.....I'm sure you've taken on plenty of difficult tasks before. I also think you (and all senior citizens) should get a discount on classes and application fees anywhere in the USA.
Not saying you're a senior citizen.....but 55 is usually a landmark for discounts and free coffee. As far as the government is concerned........you need to make it to at least 63 before you can get your piece of the pie they've been taking from you forever. I'd say self preservation is in your best interest. Or maybe that's the point.......the government might not want you to collect.
You have my best wishes accomplishing your new task no matter how difficult it may seem. Do keep us updated. Any time you're looking for a boost of confidence....come back here. If I have to email the issuing authority, your governor, or the US congress on your behalf......I will.........we would.
Glad to have you!
