For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.

But if you do it right (Never ever let your permit expire!) you only go through that wait time once in your life.
Congratulations on getting your permit.
Good for you, be safe and enjoy
Took me just under the 90 day limit to get mine. I was checking the mailbox like Ralphie waiting for his Little Orphan Annie Secret Decoder Pin and was equally disappointed every day (for the last few weeks) until it arrived.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9
“The purpose of the law is not to prevent a future offense, but to punish the one actually committed” - Ayn Rand
Congrats from a fellow Okie. It seems like the wait is getting longer in OK. My buddie told me the other day that OSBI has hired a few extra people and assigned a 3rd shift due to the high volume of permit applications they are seeing. Hopefully they can get the wait back down.
Originally it was supposed to be that the permit was either issued or denied within 60 days. The trouble their is no penalty if the Government takes to long so they have no incentive to get it done in a timely manner.
I'm also glad I decided to read your post. It prompted me to check the expiration date on mine. It was last week!
Fortunately, I'm on the road right now and can't carry while working anyway (major bummer). But as soon as I get home on Wed. I'm getting on down to the office to renew in person.
Thanks for the post and the reminder.
