What is the normal/average wait time in Oklahoma? That seems excessive.

Per the OSBI website the county sheriff has14 days to complete a background check and mail the info to the OSBI. Once the OSBI receives the paperwork they have 90 to issue or deny with a letter mailed to you.Originally Posted by bamfsig45

Well worth the wait. Mine took 4 months, but most of the wait was waiting for the class to be offered. After that it was a couple weeks.

great i cant wait until i get mine here in texas... i will be mailling the paperwork off tommorow.. hope it dont take long, i hear in texas it is taking about 3-4weeks right now

I don't recall exactly how long but it was about the three months the class instructor said it would take. Of course Navada is an open carry state so it didn't stop me from getting a pistol, holster and practice, practice, practice. The class range firing was such a farce I didn't learn much except the regulations and laws. We are going out in the morning to shoot up our weekly zombie :-)
