With good concealment practices, it won't be an issue. I would ditch the exposed belt clips, and use the velcro clips from Crossbreed. A small piece of the fuzzy side can be easily attached to just about any leather belt.

Haven't been spotted yet, don't know exactly what I'd say if somebody asked. I think it would be a little bold for someone I don't know to ask.

Although, I could see myself at work or hanging out with family or friends and my holster clip being seen and someone just casually asking what the clip is for.

I have thought about telling someone "its just my EDC", haven't figured out what E.D.C would stand for though.

Haha! That reminds me of a Robin Williams routine where he talked about old men with pitchforks and colostomy bags defending England!

Ignore it most likely in your head anyway. If they say some look puzzled go about your business.

The only time someone ask if I did carry was because the figured I was the type that did and they were looking of information on applying ,classes and choosing a weapon. I of course supplier them with that.

You guys may not realize this, but some people are going to profile you and they are going to suppose youíre more the type to be packing a pistol. If they see you again and again (Like at the Supermarket.) itís more likely. Once they start profiling you theyíre going to look for where youíd be more likely to carry something and notice things. Some of those people are going to tell right away and some of those people are going to tell after a few times seeing you. If youíre like me where you wear just a shirt over an outside the belt holster, sometimes opened(unbuttoned) and sometimes not, itís going to take less time. I donít do a lot of really deep concealing, especially in the summer.

The fact is youíre being foolish if you think no oneís going to make you out ever. Itís a certainty that someone here and there is going to make you.

My idea is that if someone looks carefully enough to make you out, reward them. Own up to it. Itís only fair. Maybe find out what they saw that made it clear to them. To stand there and try to deny it to an observant smart person is extremely insulting and beneath you.

I actually assume that several of the people who work at the Fry's near me know I'm packing. They've seen me 100s of times in really good light! Some of them up close. I mean some of those people are looking for shoplifters so they're already on the ball with it!

    I'm in this camp here.
    You answered, they scram.
Unless they don't know what it is, then you lean over to them, and say whispering into their ear, "it's for a bag that holds my poo, until I can get to the restroom and empty it."

Reply, "I'm just happy to see you."

I would likely respond "A medical device" and if I felt compelled to say anything further I would say one of the following

    "Insulin pump"
    "Colostomy bag holders"
    "Tens unit"

If I want to really mess with them:

"Continual passive release Viagra infuser"...because you just never know when a trip to walmart is going to get funky.

As you have said this is a customer you would not be rude. You can either tell them what it is or say it is a nice sturdy clip to hold a note book so you don't loose it.

I was at a meet and greet last month and while talking to one of the guys he leaned over and asked, "Are you carrying?" I asked him why he thought that and he said he carried and it my was posturing that first caught his attention. I had been talking with him for a while and felt comfortable enough to silently agree, but it had to happen eventually I guess. Not always how visible it is, but how you act too if they do the same and know what to look for

I wouldn't be so sure. I was looking into security cameras for work once. Visited a local security specialty place and got a bunch of info about cameras. As I was leaving, the guy asked me about my Kershaw pocket knife. At first I thought he had made me since the knife is carried in my back pocket with the clip exposed right next to my tuckable IWB Commander.

He then went on to explain to me how he recognized the clip on the knife and knew it was a Kershaw because he was a security professional and was trained to observe that kind of stuff. I almost started laughing thinking about how he missed that 1911 but picked up on the pocket knife.

People look for what they expect to see. They don't expect to see you carrying a firearm, so they don't associate any of the obvious clues with it. The only time I've ever been made was by a fellow CHL holder who was curious about my holster and what I was carrying.

For anyone who's worried about getting asked about what the clips are for, just grab your back and say, it's a long story. Then proceed to change the subject and they should get the hint it's not something you're going to talk about.

As you gain more experience carrying, you'll get over the "is everyone staring at me" stage. Most people could care less about you (or me). It's most likely a small dose of paranoia on your part. If someone does actually ask, you can choose to ignore the question. You don't have to even respond. You can also try to just change the subject.
