I mounted a gun safe in my car that I can access from the driver's seat without looking and without having to move. I like it becasue it's secure but I can also access it quickly. Here's the video I put on youtube about it:

1. It must be out of sight of passengers and from anyone looking in the car from the outside. ---RETENTION HOLSTER UNDER DRIVERS SEAT
2. It must be in a location that is readily available (within 2 seconds). RETENTION HOLSTER UNDER DRIVERS SEAT
3. It must not impede me from driving the car. RETENTION HOLSTER UNDER DRIVERS SEAT
4. It must be located and stowed in a fashion that will not cause a problem should I get in a wreck or have to slam on the brakes. RETENTION HOLSTER UNDER DRIVERS SEAT
5. It must be located and stowed in a location very unlikely for a thief to find. Their is no good place that is going to meet this criteria while meeting criteria number 2
