Good question, but might have elicited different responses had you asked 'specific' rather than 'significant.' Significant can be subjective. What I consider to be a pain in the backside -- like, asking me any more questions than whether or not I like the gun -- might not be too much of a hassle to someone else.
I'm in favor of gun control -- I think every citizen should have control of a gun.

I voted for the Handgun. I don't mind a background check for any gun. But the 48 hour wait on hand guns is a waste of my time. They should change the laws for CCL holders and omit the "cooling period" I like to collect many old guns including hand guns and I often do not purchase because I don't want the hassle of returning at a later date. I guess the "cooling period" would be ok for non carry permit holders, but in general I am against any more restrictions.

Not at all! just a background check, a 10 day wait, a handgun safety certificate, etc etc etc. My states "officials" don't worry about the Constitution....

Fill out the form for instant check, out the door in as much time as it takes you to fill out the form.

First handgun purchase took 4 day background check. Two months later second handgun purchase took about ten minutes then out the door. No CCW required.

In KY you just have the NICS check. And like others have said about their state- with CDW it is waived.

Alabama nothing extra, takes longer to fill out the form than it does to walk around the store. But, you must fill it out each time, CCP or no.

In Nebraska you have to get a Purchase Permit that takes a few days to get back from your county Sheriff, lasts three years and with that you just show it when you buy a gun and that's it. No extra background check, NICs or whatever it is called.

Or you get a Concealed Handgun Permit that allows you to skip getting the Purchase Permit and allows you to purchase guns without any extra paperwork or background checks.

In Omaha if you have a CHL you can purchase and not register your handgun. If you don't have a CHL and only a purchase permit you have to leg it downtown to fill out paperwork/register your handgun before you can go back to a store and pick up the gun.

AZ - No. For handguns fill out the form for the instant check and you're on your way in a short period of time (minutes). Even easier if you have a CCW Permit.

Local gun store was about the same. No additional requirements.
But none if you buy from a private party while not at a gun show.
