    Thumbs up First Time OWB - Loved It

    I wouldn't call it open carry since it was under my shirt and still concealed; that was the intent.

    DeSantis Speed Scarab for my SA Ultra Compact with a Wilderness Tactical 1.5” with added horizontal stitching; standard jeans.

    Really like the belt and holster combination.

    I tried a couple different IWB setups and none felt comfortable. This is a relatively heavy carry gun IMO and this rig did wonderfully.

    Different carry methods work for different people. Glad you found what appears to work for you.

    OWB = all day comfort.

    The setup will do the job well.

    Nice setup there Alec.....I think the belt makes all the difference for OWB carry. With a flimsy belt, any weight at all just tugs it down and out. Keeerap, just my cell phone bugs me after a while, but add a "good" belt and it's a different story.

    I often carry my J-frame Smith OWB...but then it's a bunch lighter.

    I never carry anything any other way unless I have no holster on which happened yesterday briefly. What I call "Magnum Carry", ala the Tom Selleck character. I've never seen any real need for inside the belt stuff otherwise. It's simple stuff. Use a decent belt and straight cut shirt untucked. In the winter, use an untucked sweater or an untucked shirt with a jacket. I really don't want to have a pistol barrel jammed into my butt for more than just a little while. Like 15 minutes or something.

    Nice holster. I have looked at DeSantis holsters before. I like them and might just pick one up for my Ultra CDP.

    I use to carry IWB,then my belly started deciding it liked OWB and my love handles followed,at that point OWB became a neccessity

    For me the cooler autumn weather makes OWB not only feasible...but preferable.
    I recently broke out a couple of my nicer OWB holsters...it's all good.
    Enjoy your fine-looking set-up.

    I like owb. Like the rest of you with the cooler weather I can wear a jacket and use my Aker 166. Grabbed it in a pawn shop for ten bucks.

    I, too prefer OWB carry. I borrowed my son's IWB holster for a week & found it uncomfortable. I can't think of the brand of holster & my son has no problems with it but he still prefers OWB.

    OWB all day. Tried an IWB for a few days and decided that OWB is where it's at lol. Easier to get the gun out and MUCH more comfortable

    That is a nice looking gun. I am still pondering whether to upgrade to a compact .45.
