Welcome to the forum and to Texas! You're moving in the right direction! I recommend you go here: TxDPS - CHL FAQs, and click on the link for "Eligibility Requirements". You have to live in Texas for 6 months plus meet all the other requirements. You might be able to use your Missori permit during that period, but check with the TXDPS to be sure.

It is better to die with a weapon in hand than to live with hands raised. (Meir Feinstein, 1947) ...But is far better to raise your hands with a weapon in them and assume a classic Weaver or Isosceles (BenGoodLuck, 2007)
Welcome to the forum from Virginia.
It appears Texas has a 6 month residency requirement, unless you are AD military. There does not appear to be a waiver of training for someone licensed in another state. So you would need to take the Texas training course to get your permit.

There is no longer a waiting period to apply for a license. Just like a drivers license you need to get it pretty quickly. If MO has the same background checks as TX if might go a little quicker.
Due to the overwhelming number of orders we have received the response time to your post could be up to six seconds.
